Your iPhone and iPod Touch will soon be Whistler Friendly

In preparation for the 2010 Winter Games, the Resort Municipality of Whistler is working with Sunshine Maps Inc. to develop an intelligent mobile map for athletes and visitors. As early as mid November 2009, SeeWhistler can be downloaded for FREE onto your iPhone or iPod Touch.

Whistler is a rich community with a diverse offering of services, products and attractions. SeeWhistler is a powerful tool that will help visitors find their way around the community and easily access these amenities.

Jason Silverthorne, principal of Sunshine Maps Inc., spent a great deal of time in Whistler researching the area. "Through the process of developing SeeWhistler, we discovered the incredible depth of this community," remarks Jason. "With the emergence of wireless technology, we can now enable visitors and local residents easy access to this information."

SeeWhistler features four distinct and very highly detailed dynamic maps covering Whistler Village and Upper Village, Creekside, Function Junction and Whistler Valley. It gives you interactive, fully searchable mobile access to the best that Whistler has to offer… with up-to-the-minute price saving coupons. It is the ultimate Whistler traveling companion too. You can literally slip it into your pocket.

"With the international attention that is going to be on Whistler in 2010, this application is timely, useful and will be a great asset to those who are on site as well as to the businesses represented within the application, having a way to communicate directly to this very transient populace," notes Scott Michaels, Vice President of Atimi Software Inc.

Use SeeWhistler to search by location, type of industry, building, or coupons available. Find the nearest restaurant, hotel or business, view it on the map, and download a price-saving coupon instantly… or browse through all the coupons, pick out the best deal, and then find out how to get there. It's that simple.

The Whistler Super Map™ will soon hit the stores

In preparation for the 2010 Winter Games, Sunshine Maps Inc. has developed a comprehensive street map and recreation guide for athletes and visitors.

The Whistler Super Map™ took over two years to produce and represents a labour of love by the cartographers of Sunshine Maps Inc.. They have succeeded in creating a high fidelity hand drawn map of one of the most beautiful areas of the world. For this reason, the Whistler Super Map™ was selected by the Resort Municipality of Whistler as the only map available at visitor information centres and is displayed in large format on their billboards.

Exquisitely designed, the map contains all the information you will need to navigate your way around Whistler. It also includes a driving map from Seattle. The reverse side of the map contains the highly detailed city core area. This includes a comprehensive listing of businesses and detailed insets for Whistler Village, Upper Village and Creekside.

Jason Silverthorne, principal of Sunshine Maps Inc., spent a great deal of time in Whistler researching the area. "Through the process of developing the Whistler Super Map™, we discovered the incredible depth of this community," remarks Jason. "For the first time, all of this detailed information has been captured on one piece of paper and is now accessible to the greater community."
