What application / software do I need to run SeeWhistler?
SeeWhistler is compatible with iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch and iPod Touch 2G. It requires iPhone OS Version 3.0 and above.
Will SeeWhistler operate without being connected to the Internet?
Most features on SeeWhistler will operate offline. You will need to be online to enable some of the enhanced features.
How do the coupons work?
Whistler restaurants, hotels, attractions, and other businesses will broadcast special price-saving coupons on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Simply show the coupons when you arrive at your favourite business and you will be awarded the discount. Terms and conditions are outlined on each coupon.
What areas of Whistler does the map cover?
Whistler Valley, Whistler Village and Upper Village, Creekside, Function Junction, and The Benchlands.
What types of categories can I search for?
You can search by any keyword including:
- Industry Type: food & dining, accommodations, events, activities, or general businesses,
- Location: street address or cross-street,
- Building: all buildings are labelled with complete listing of businesses,
- Coupons: promotional coupons are offered by several Whistler businesses.
What kind of information do you provide about each business?
Details are provided about location, telephone number, industry type and website / email link for select companies.
Can SeeWhistler locate my current position?
SeeWhistler can locate your current position if you are using an iPhone and are connected to the Internet.
How much space does SeeWhistler require?
The program is approx. 9 MB. If you decide to download all of the maps, then the complete program will be approx. 40 MB.
